We are pleased to say that many of our shops, both on the High Street and on Winchester Street are thriving and full. It is incredibly difficult for small, independent businesses in the current economic climate, but Open Overton aims to support our members and generate interest for our special little village.

Whatever you need, come and browse our wide range of shops, from gifts, wine, gin, art, party supplies, fresh produce to clothing and printing facilities.

We have free on-street parking (for up to 2 hours), as well as a short and long stay car park.

EAT Local

After browsing the shops and seeing our stunning village, why not relax and enjoy some refreshments? We are passionate about locally-sourced products and freshly cooked food, as well as decent coffee and a wide selection of beverages.

We have three coffee shops, four public houses and four take away outlets.

From traditional sandwiches to Asian cuisine, we have something suitable for everyone’s tastes.

STAY LOCAL

Spend some time in our beautiful village. The world-renowned Test Valley river runs through its heart, with its clear water and huge rainbow trout. Surrounded by stunning countryside, recreation spaces and many children’s play areas, we have outdoor space for all to enjoy.

We are an active village, with regular events, fairs, drama productions and sporting activities.

There is accommodation locally both at The White Hart and via AirBnB.
